I left the earth many years ago A flight through endless empty space The destination: the planet saturn A beautiful place When I arrived I showed what I saw Wondrous sights never seen before Moons and rings circling around The mother planet But now the journey is almost at its end On Titan my companion left me To explore the winds and the seas The first ever to land on this moon He made history But now my end is getting near Past the rings into the atmosphere In gravity's crush I transmit to you My last goodby Goodbye

about

This is mostly instrumental synthesizer music inspired by the NASA/ESA Cassini/Huygens mission to Saturn and its moons. Of course it is also inspired by the great synth artists that I always loved, including Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis.

The track titles are names of moons of Saturn (except for the Cassini/Huygens titles). Click on individual track titles for more information on the moon of that track, background in inspiration and recording, and in some cases the lyrics.

Dedicated to everyone involved with Cassini/Huygens at NASA, ESA, JPL and everywhere else and to the two little probes that went on this amazing journey providing us with great data and images.

The full album download contains front and back cover artwork and all song notes in either booklet or full page form and a bonustrack: Rhea (Unfinished Demo)!
